Trust & safety

Acceptable use

JustLinks gives you a public address for your online presence. It is not a place to impersonate someone else, and it is not a place to harm the people who follow your links.

Not allowed

  • Impersonating a person, company or organisation you do not represent.
  • Pages that imitate a sign-in, payment or account-recovery screen.
  • Phishing, fraud, or links to either.
  • Malware, unwanted software, or deceptive downloads.
  • Content that is illegal where you or your visitors are.
  • Harassment, threats, or sharing someone's private information.
  • Bulk or automated pages made to manipulate search rankings.

Names we reserve

Some addresses cannot be claimed at all, because they belong to the platform or because they would be easily mistaken for a brand or an official page. If a name you wanted was refused for this reason, that is why. It is not a comment on you, and there is no way to release it.

Reporting a page

Send the address and what is wrong with it to [email protected]. Include any screenshots or the destination the links lead to if you have them. It leads to a much faster decision.

Reports are read by a person. We aim to respond to clear-cut cases within one business day. Anything that is not an abuse report, such as press, partnerships, or account questions, goes to [email protected] so it reaches the right inbox.

What happens next

  1. The page is suspended. Visitors see "This page is unavailable" and every link on it stops redirecting, including links already shared.
  2. The owner is told, and can respond if they think it is a mistake.
  3. The address stays reserved while the page is suspended, so it cannot be claimed by someone else and reused for the same thing.
  4. Serious cases, including phishing, malware, or anything involving a child, are reported to the relevant service (Google Safe Browsing, the hosting provider, or law enforcement) and are not restored.

Reported by mistake?

If your page was suspended and you think that was wrong, reply to the notice and say so. Suspensions are reversible, and a reviewed-and-restored page is not held against you.
